Calendar for Highvale
Time is generally viewed as the domain of Cronos, the Dragon of Time (one of the deities)
The year consists of 360 days, split into twelve months. Weeks are not used, instead most use X day
of (insert month name). Calendars are both represented in a linear fashion, and also as a circle, with
each degree being a day. It is common for Calendars to have a dragon motif, to celebrate Cronos.
The Months of the year are the following.
As a note, from the mid part of First frost to First seed (15 day of First frost to 1st day of First Seed) winter weather makes it almost impossible to travel long distances without great effort, and generally adventuring ends in these winter months. Highvale lake ice does not break up till the first part of Rain, and going past Pek Falls is not recommended till Second Seed.
Highvale lake's ice is famously thin and treacherous in spots in the winter due to warm water from geological activity under the lake. Trying to cross the frozen lake has a real risk (1 in 6 per hex) of hitting a thin spot and falling in.).
This provides one of the major issues of "Clearing" Castle OeBerg, in the sense for nearly 4 months of the year, it will be able to restock and rebuild in the deep winter snows.
